Picked up the 2nd X3
My wife's X3 arrived this week. The Carbon black has 50% tint all around. The Phytonic Blue has 70% tint all around.

Nice collection! Get those front bumpers protected with PPF, they are chip magnets. Are you going to add an X3M next year?

Kingfisher: I’ve got these racks/cross bars on my X3, and it is OEM. $210. Easy on and off factory rails. Minimal wind noise because of aero profile, and I leave mine on all the time.

They are the Thule aerobars. I had them on the X5 and with the sunroof cover closed they were completely silent. The cover on the X3 being thinner you can hear them on the freeway at times.

No she got a loaded 30i with all the safety features. She wanted the blue so that it didn’t look like almost every other SUV in the parking lot. She has come out of the school a few times to someone getting out of her car after mistaking it for theirs. So I had to “sacrifice” and get carbon black.

Have you put anything on those aero bars? They appear to be set much wider than the recommended settings on the OEM bars. I feel the OEM bars look too close but I didn't want to risk damage to the vehicle if my kayak flew off. I'm curious if Thule allows for the much wider placement.
