2018 X3 M40i why isn't their M Sport Steering Wheel

What happened? I expected my car to have an M Sport steering wheel. I got a normal one. I know all the X3 M40i in the US seem to have the same wheels is this an error?

I got it in Mexico! It comes standard in all M versions

Shoulda bought one in Mexico and imported it. They get the display key and silver buttons too.
