Can Anyone Confirm The Steering Wheel Stalks Light Up?

Was driving home from work today and it was night out and I had to use the windshield wiper washer since my front windows was caked with crap. I realized none of my stalks; left or right side light up at all. Can anyone confirm if this is how it was designed or are mine bugged out somehow. I can’t remember any of my cars in the past not having lit up stalks. Thanks!

Serious question, why do they need to light up?

After maybe a week I know what both stalks do without ever looking at them.

Looking at the stalk means not looking at the road.

I was actually looking to make sure pulling back on the right stalk initiated the right command...Yes, now I know but if my family or friend borrowed the car they wouldn't. I just checked my M235 and it lights up so something must be off on this car.

The only light I know of is when the wipers are in auto mode. My 435, M3, and X3 are all like this. Dunno why the M235 got special light up stalks lol.
