Which tyres
Hey guys
My rear tyres are due to be changed but reluctant to spend £400 on 2 new tyres. They are bridgestones S001 255/40/18. Does any one have any alternatives that are abit cheaper? Thanks |

Shop around and you'll get them cheaper. If you intend to stick with runflats Goodyear Eagle F1s (very well regarded on this forum) are available for about £150 fitted.

https://www.asdatyres.co.uk/255-35-19 £66.98 fitted. See you in the next bush when it's raining... IMO, budget tyres have no place on a performance premium car, but ETO.

I remember on the 1 a few years back I had some Kleber which I though were great tyres. Turns out they're made by Michelin. Those avons i've used (I'm doing 20k a year) have a A wet rating so you won't find me in the ditch and as it's been pointed out, 320d is hardly performance Not sure what op is driving Last edited by Dave-ncl; 07-24-2018 at 07:28 AM.. |

I look at this a different way and only ever fit the best performance tyres on the market. Cheap tyres are a false economy.
BTW, and from experience, the only thing the Bridgstones are good at is low wear rates. In all other respects they're dreadful. Ditch them.

I don't want to put budgets on but was just wondering if there was a good tyre for less money.
We only do 6-7k a year and the cars going back in 12-18 months just abit reluctant to pay £400 for new tyres and not get the most out of them |

Just a heads up, although champion tyres in Leeds was cheapest anywhere I could find and round the corner and in stock, it's worth checking asdatyres website they generally come out cheapest
