MY19 M5 Residuals

Hey guys, I had a chat with my salesperson yesterday. He was telling me August residuals will be a lot better for the M5. Since that is the case he held off on locking a price in for me until August 1st. My guess the horrible residuals for July was to have dealers move whatever MY18 M5's they had leftover to make room for the MY19's coming in!

Yes, my CA said the same when the July programs first came out. I stopped at my dealer yesterday and my CA ran a search - only 277 unsold 2018 M5s left, which is getting to be a pretty small number. He also felt the August programs could look better. There is a chance BMW does one more month of the low residuals to move even more 2018 M5 inventory, but by the September program things should look better.

My msrp is 112k. The residual would've been $57,120. If I would've locked in a price in July.

The 2019s are in the 50%+/- area, but the 2018s are still 60%+/-. They tanked the 2019 residuals until they clean out most of the 2018 M5 inventory.

Yes, you’re not locked in until you take delivery. Your CA can lock the current program for 60 days at the time when they submit your credit application. They can always release the lock and roll to a subsequent month’s program if it’s a better deal.

Damn really ... that’s crazy my dealer said there none of those deductions with the f9 cp like they had them for the f10.. just my luck he went on vacation this week. I’m gonna need to make that call cause that’s crazy yours came that low ..and another thing that was weird he did wit for no money down so I don’t if that has anything to do with it but on the paper her gave me it something with 9k was due .. I didn’t ask much questions cause this one was my 3rd m car I got with him in the last 8 years .. for my f10 I just put 2500 down n my payments were 1490.. oh and after everything the total of the f90 cp came out to almost 125k .. my f10 was 122k

I have till end of march before current lease end which means allocation around December. I am hoping 18's have cleared by then and that 19 residuals have gone higher.
