Things to check at delivery on G01

Anybody made a summary list of things to check, especially on the G01, when taking delivery?

I am thinking of the known first-year issues, like the hot airflow to the rear, even though set as cold, lane change warning vibrations not noticeable, passenger side mirror dipping to much when reverse, etc..

From the above threads, and some more, I compiled a complete (well, so far) list:
  1. Go through that all options are there, including none-SALAPA options like floor mats, and cargo mats.
  2. Recalls are taken care of (fuel system routing, rear spoiler, air in rear brake system)
  3. Emission class is expected (Euro 6d-TEMP)
  4. All panels aligned properly
  5. Check for paint issues
  6. Rear spoiler markings from protective film
  7. Keyhole cover for the driver's side outside door handle
  8. Open and close the hood and verify proper adjustment.
  9. Open and close the tailgate to ensure no issues.
  10. Have them show you how to check the oil level
  11. Verify proper coolant level, brake fluid, etc.
  12. Control screen protector
  13. Leather upholstery wrinkles
  14. Latest iDrive updates
  15. Verify ConnectedDrive is online
  16. Verify Carplay is playing
  17. Verify Maps are updated
  18. Verify Hotspot is working
  19. Verify Teleservices is setup
  20. Verify Concierge is working
  21. Verify Remote Services is connected
  22. Verify Traffic information is received
  23. Verify 3D View in app
  24. Verify to send destination to car from app
  25. Adaptive dynamic setup
  26. Custom gesture setup, perhaps 2 finger to "Go home"
  27. Verify heated seats
  28. Verify heated trunk window
  29. Verify seat adjustments all work properly
  30. Operate the windows, sunroof and sunroof cover to full range
  31. Dip of passenger side mirror not too low
  32. Rear AC, warm when should be cold
  33. Full AC - check for ice cold air
  34. Full Defroster - check for bad noises
  35. Verify balanced brightness in the Ambient interior lightning
  36. Verify proper tire pressure, and that the TPMS is properly set up, etc
  37. Verify that turn signals are not amber (us only)
Ask to take the car for a drive before signing, and check for this, at least:
  1. Verify that there are no noises at certain engine speeds while driving
  2. Verify Lane Change Warnings vibrations
  3. If there is time, check all other tech that it is working while driving, like the driving assistant systems.

Nice! but I have a suggestion: maybe it would be nice to split it into pre-delivery (pre-papersigning) and post-delivery. I believe, you can take a ride with your car after you sign the papers, right? So... how can you tell, if (for example) the steering wheel vibration is ok or not before that?

Thanks, you are right.
I've only taken delivery of a new car once before. It was a bit blurry due to my excitement. :-)

But I am also quite sure I'll be able to complain, and get things fixed, after delivery. I trust my sales rep for that.

Didn't see ambient lighting check in your lists. Several people had problems with the ambient lighting not being the same brightness

Some of the things mentioned maybe best asked for in advance and confirm they have been done such as idrive update/map update otherwise that will be a very long wait on the day, although I don't know how you would check if idrive is the latest or not? Maps are easier to check

Is the control screen protector an issue? I still have it on after 2 months, keep meaning to take it off though, I even still have the blue film protectors on the door sill protectors which is probably some sort of oxymoron

Ha, well, this checklist can be a reminder list, and it's up to the reader to check each item, or not. Before, at, or after the delivery.

And don't start again on the protective film. I just put it there since it something the dealers should do, but often forget. And mentioned in earlier threads. :-)

Definitely a worthwhile list I agree all I was suggesting is a email or call to dealer to ask them to check for software updates to be done before pick up would be worthwhile rather than on the day

I will get round to removing my film this weekend at last ready for holidays although it is remarkably good at hiding fingerprints
