M2 to Chip, or not to Chip?
I've had a quote from Evolve Technik to 'chip' my DCT M2, at a cost of $1925.
Specs from them show an increase of 22kw and 80Nm torque around 3,300 rpm Has anyone had this done? If so, was there a noticeable difference? Would you do it again? Last edited by lockwood; 07-26-2018 at 05:49 AM.. Reason: more info |

I am no expert as I have been out of the BMW game for a few years, but based on my limited research for my upcoming M2C bootmod3 seems to be the best bet in terms of a tune with the added benefit of being able to flash the tune yourself.

I just installed bootmod3 on my M2. Easy as, and can be done either via PC or your phone.
Heaps of user customisation available, and the tune feels great. |

Had my M235i tuned a few years back.. stock 240kw (dyno'd 210kw atw) and after a flash tune it dyno'd 267kw atw)... while my mate's M2 stock 272kw (dyno'd 235kw) after the tune it dyno'd 270kw atw... same dyno but different year... I drove his before and after and yes you can still tell the difference

+1 on Pro Tuning Freaks BM3 tune. I have done it in my OG M2...totally "wakes up" the car. I'm in Canada so our currency is similar value to yours and it costs under $1k. You can start with OTS (off the shelf) map and then hit up one of the "tuners" listed in the app to get a custom tune specific to your mods and gasoline. Really great product and it offers a lot of customization if you are willing to do a bit of research and play around with it. N55 is pretty tapped out in M2 without changing some of the components (DP, FMIC, etc.) but you can def get more out of it if you go the FBO route and use the stg 2 maps.

Currently running MHD stage2+ 102 octane map with 3.5-4.0 litres E85 per tank. Logs Look great and car feels strong
Times from 100-200 have come down from 11.5 to 9.4 seconds and make it faster than the stock M2 Competition. Below is a log of a run and MHD only costs around $600. You can reverse anytime you like and change diffeeent maps and aggression of burble if you want. It's a must for this car, https://datazap.me/u/mattspies/log-1...38;zoom=39-183 |

Hey, Can anyone tell me if it will have a tool kit. I assume there is no spare wheel or jack, even with the Michellin Sports? |
