front snorkel screw gap from factory?

so i was looking and cleaning around my engine bay, and i cam upon the front snorkel, the one that sucks air from the kidneys( on e92 not sure on e90's) anyways standing in front of the car, the left screw wasnt loose, but there was a def gap, it wasnt flush with the brace to where it was attached like the other side. anyone have the same problem, i checked my friends and he has the same issue, would it be wrong to tighten it down?

i can put a quarter bewtween the screw and frame

That's quite an engine.

I can't imagine the intake air path makes that much difference with this engine. It looks like the flux capacitor needs to be changed with a differential toroid to compensate for left-swirl.

Mine was prety loose, too. I thought the screws were vibrating out but it's stayed snug for a while now. Maybe the factory errs on the side of not stripping the plastic?

If you tighten those two screws be gentle with them.
