F31 328ix RWD conversion?

I have grown to really hate the driving characteristics of my wife F31 vs my F30. How involved would it be to convert an F31 to RWD? I am assuming that it would be pretty straight forward. Remove AWD components, install new trans, install new drive shaft and coding? How much more involved would this be? Has anyone done this before?

In the e90 you could remove two fuses and the car would go into red mode. Not sure if that's possible with the f30

Probably possible, but you will still have the transfer case involved.
