I'm on a boat bia... anyone else on the Patriot?

Hey guys,

If you are on the Patriot from Bremerhaven, good news, your boat left yesterday and is already in Belgium.

I have a 19 MBB CE w/Full Silverstone on there. It arrives in SoCal on October 1st, so I am planning to lock in my rate at the end of September and hope it get's better in October.

Funny side story. The first one I ordered has been sitting at Long Beach BMW for about a month now. They refused to give me a discount after buying 9 cars from the dealer over the last 15 years. I relayed my story to a forum member who hooked me up with a much better dealer who actually wants to keep my business.... well they offered me an allocation and a discount. So I am buying the one on the Patriot. Oh and yes... I will absolutely send the GM and SM at Long Beach a selfie in my new ride when I pick it up.

If anyone else is on the boat, I will post updates here since I dropped the dough for a month of fleetmon.

My car is on the Elektra, currently somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. It's scheduled to arrive at Port NY on the 12th. If you have a minute to look her up for me I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Mine's scheduled to arrive on the 13th but not sure what vessel it is on. Did you order a 19' CE? Curious to see what your lease deal looks like if indeed you ordered CE.

Call your CA. They can look up your car in their system and get the name of the boat. Or you can call the BMW Genius hotline.

Yes, mine is a 2019 Competition. My dealership gave me a discount off MSRP given my long relationship with them and numerous previous purchases, and they will not mark up the MF. I also plan on rolling over the MSDs from my currently lease to buy down the MF. I haven't had them run the lease payment yet because I'm still deciding whether to take delivery in September when it arrives or wait until October to see if the lease programs improve.

Same here; MSRP discount and buy rate on MF. Fingers crossed programs improve in October.

Spoke to Genius but I only inquired about the arrival date.

Hey all, what a long wait this has been. From order time (late July)it took about 2 weeks to start build. Then sat at Bremerhaven for almost 2 weeks. Behind original schedule about 3-4 weeks. My first time ordering from factory, is this fairly typical ? BTW my order: 2019 M550i with A90, LFCK, 4LH, ZDB ZDH ZPP ZPK 494 6F1 22E. Also a pleasant surprise it was actually a bit cheaper than an equivalent 2018 due to the way they packaged the options

Just got the call from my CA. My car has been off-loaded from the Elektra and is scheduled to be processed today. It's scheduled for delivery to my dealer on Monday, but my CA told the shipper to grab my car as soon as he sees it so it could arrive earlier. Now the hard decision - take delivery immediately or defer until October on the off-chance the lease programs improve. The new car sales manager at my dealer is not highly confident things will improve, but he's going to make some calls to corporate to see if he can get any intel.

Patriot lands in port tomorrow... so uh... THANK GOD FOR VPC STATUS 1 : CUSTOMER SOLD! Hopefully the car makes it to the dealer by the time I get back from Seattle (October 4th). And let's hope that the residuals suck less in October!
