Dinan Stage 2 0-60 times

I have an e90 335xi auto and I finally hooked up my g-tech pro rr. I blasted a few runs from 0-60 and my best time was 4.5 seconds. I was in DS mode and let the car do the shifting. Launch was at 2,500 rpms and there was no wheelspin. Next time I am going to start out in M1 and shift around 6,500 rpms to see if I can shave off a couple tenths.

Anyone else with a dinan stage 2 have any results to share?

Your car will shift by itself in manual mode as well....

Nice times.

The best advice I can give is wait for it to cool off. When it's hot like this your times are going to suffer. Aiming your shift points at 6,200 seems to yield the best results from what I've found. The best part of having a G-tech (or similar devices) is you can 'test and tune' to your heart's content. I usually can get 4.2's on my FX-1 with the Dinan Stage II rev. 2, FMIC, and exhaust. I got 4.0 once, but I've discounted that result since I have never been able to replicate it.

yeah thats accurate, ive clocked many 4.1-4.3 runs on street tires w/ a 335i, with the xtra traction he has I would think 4 flat would not be a problem.

how are you guys launching (those of you with 6mt)? Just starting around 2k and feathering the clutch until you get full engagement?

1st step.....get rid of the run flats!

I start around 3000rpms and let out the clutch hard but not all the way, then feather, just dont floor it, use the clutch and gas to maximize grip. Its tough.

yup thats what I thought, a well launched xi version should be able to hit 4 flat w a few mods. 1.8 60 times are nothing to sneeze at. Lowest I've seen at the strip was a mid-low 1.9x. Thats the key to 0-60mph times as well as 1/4 miles.

Awesome times. I bet you can brake torque to almost 3k with the awd to acheive those stellar times. My non-xi Dinan stage 2 coupe with fmic and exhaust can only net a best of 4.4 on the g-tech pro. I only launch it at 1500rpms to avoid major wheelspin. However the rwd does get me over 110mph traps on the g-tech.

not sure, running 15-16psi probably 375-390whp on pump gas.

Not running a tune at the moment, car feels anemic.........

Once I have a tune back in i'll dyno for sure...I need to know!

I'm sure I could bang out some sub 4 second 0-60 times if I was running slicks...just never have.

you're running more than a tune right, or is that it? assuming catless DPs?

SSTT.....G-Tech also

On 93octane when I had my SSTT in I could run with a 6mt sport 4.3 I couldn't believe so i ran this the other direction immediately . 4.36 ..So my point is I think your guys Dinan stage II will do better. The thing is the more power you have the harder the launch is. I found I really had to change my launch from stock to SSTT so I can only imagine with what you guys are Putin out it will only increase the difficulty....happy racin be safe....

I did a soft launch and managed a 4.5 with my stage 2 dinan and 6mt. I'm sure if I launched harder under control I can shave 2 or 3 tenths off... What do you guys think?

Looks a bit inaccurate to me. 0-60mph in 3.9 sec. and pulling 1.08g...just a bit optimistic, don't you think?

Nice results. The 0-60 appears to be a little shocking but I must ask...

Why is this in the Dinan thread?
