Quick video showing how the third row seat works

Nice video! I'm glad we don't need the 3rd row...looks awfully tight back there!!

Thanks for sharing, Jay.

Strictly for kids/emergencies only I guess. Pretty par for the course. This one appeared to be kitted with the Ivory Merino leather with ventilated seats? Nice to see cupholders there.

For an adult sitting there [emergencies?], I'd expect their knees to be up to their chin

This is the beige/mocha perforated standard leather which is the combo I got.

i would get the third row option only for the purposes of being able to recline (albeit slightly) the second row seats. In my current f15 its the one thing my kids complain abt, they got too used to the seats that recline in our minivan.

i didn't go thru the ordering guide as my current lease isnt up until march 2020.. but i remember for the F15 it was a standalone option (2nd row comfort seats.. or whatever they were called)

That Vernasca leather looks MUCH nicer than the Dakota leather. Much smoother grain. My wife's 528i has Dakota and it is very rough/firm grain leather. Durable for sure though!

That's a really cool color combo too...with the brown carpet and dash. I like it!

Yes the grain is finer for sure but definitely there. Pic borrowed from x3 forum

Does the 2nd row only recline when you order the third row option?

What is the purpose of that "slide-open thingy" (travel and comfort Option) on the back of the backrest? On the left there seems to be a USB port, but the slot on the right?
220V Power outlet maybe?

You can attach a tablet thing or tablet holder I think.

Looks to me like you can shift the 2nd row and possibly even the third row forwards and backwards. Decent flexibility then if you need to use the isofix in second row but have more space for an adult down the back. I am impressed!

Hmmm, Not much room there for sure. Maybe this option will be better suited to the X7.
