After few days with my F90 I'm still confused about modes and their relation to each other - which is precedent?

So I can press DSC button or hold it.
I can change m xdrive config (4wd, 4wd sport, rwd).
I can mix those two, sometimes one changes other.

Dashboard says mdm...

I can't make real tests because of break in time so can anyone explain hierarchy of different modes and consequences?

When you start the car = Full DSC = No Fun

Short Press of button = MDM = Fun

Long hold of button = NO SAFETY NETS = Tickets and Smiles

As far as power to the wheels
AWD, is standard AWD

Sport AWD significantly less power to the front wheels.

2WD is just what it says.

As I understand:
- it is possible to play with dsc button (with 3 modes: on, mdm, off)
while having independent option to choose if i want: awd or awd sport
- but if I want rwd than i must switch off dsc

So question is: when I should use one of 5 combinations:
- awd sport + dsc on
- awd sport + mdm
- awd sport + dsc off
- awd + mdm
- awd + dsc off
In other words: what are scenarios when each combination is optimal?


lame combination: awd + dsc on is obvoius
pro combination: rwd + dsc off is also obvious

You may call it lame, but DSC + AWD is optimal performance and least likely to kill you and others on public roads. Drift on the track.

Nope, just adding my 2 cents. The comments following sheriff suggest that I somehow should have known where he's located, and then went on to condescendingly describe his location with respect to mine. Keep it classy, Poland.
