N54 Air intake manifold sizes

I'm planning to setup my N54 engine with two cone filters from K&N after I added a vishnu procede chip.

For this I have ordered two K&N RR3001 filters with a diameter of 76 milimeters. To prepare the filters to make them fit, I was looking for the proper size of the air intake manifold.

Does somebody of you know the sizes of these?

Thanks,

René

I'm dutch, so I hope I have named the air intake correctly.

Great thanks for the info!

Would it be ok if I use a 3 inch cone airfilter with a transformer from 3 to 2.25 inch?

Cheers,
René

And you might want to get a slightly longer coupler for the rear...

any advice what to use for this? It should be a kind of flexible material with stiff ends....

I went to a DIY shop today but did not found what I would like to have, do tuner shop have materials for this?

its metric, if you want it done correctly.

if not, the entrance will get warped just like all of the people who bought "that" intake.

Thanks for the tip, but what means warped?
I found a pvc plastic pipe that has one side with 2.25 inch (actually the equivalant in metrics) and the other side with 76mm (metric)

i thought this would be the best as both sides need to be stiff to have the clambs fit wel.

Both bms and vishnu couplers are 2.25..kind of hard to get it custom made to 2.38 or whatever it is exactly..

its kind of like a wrinkle, you fit something smaller in the inside and as you tighten a wrinkle forms in the negative space.

Not really, just take it to a machine or muffler shop and have them swell it to the desired measurement.

Good tip,

I think maybe some isolation tape at the end of the pipe might fix this?!
