Looks like the 335i coupe will be getting the DCT double clutch transmission soon.

My dealership phoned me this morning with the same news.

It will only be available on 335i and only in the E92 and E93 models. The option code is "2TC". Seven gears, paddles and launch control are standard when selecting the option.

Took BMW long enough. The Audi and VW had similar technology for years.

Not that sources indicate but there is something else a brewing which I am working on...

The reason for the 740i is more likely the marketing department, this will also not be available in the US. At launch the US will only see the 750 until the V12 is twin turbo is tweaked a bit more...

I am honoring the embargo until tomorrow on BimmerFile but since others have already broken theirs here is the US release....
