Bmw f30 320d msport manual gearbox and diff oil?

Hello guys,

Ive spent the last two hours searching this forum in regards to the best gearbox and diff oil! Mostly im getting results from the us members and of course...its very confusing. Im looking to use either genuine bmw or redline but any past experiences or info on this would be very appreciated!!

Thanks

Tobsd, in my previous manual E90 I used redline for gearbox and Torco for the differential. Both are very good and expensive. I had good experience with them. You can always go for the "bmw" ones if you dont want to worry about them.
I flushed the original ones at around 50k miles and with redline-torco oils car has done till now another 50k (car now belongs to a good friend of mine so I get the updates)

I did the gearbox and diff on my E90 at around 80k. The gearchange's felt much better afterwards especially when cold. I used Castrol oil for both.

- F30, I did a MTF change at 60k - used 2 litres of Pentosin FFL-3 DCT Transmission Fluid (identical to genuine BMW fluid)

- I did the rear diff fluid change at 75k - used Redline 75w-90 GL-5

I have always changed the MTF and diff fluid every 2 years and will keep on doing so with these fluids.
