As title, G20 can now be spec'd. Models available:

320d s & x Drive + 330i sDrive

All M Sport's will need to be spec'd with Tech Pack Z0J if ordered before 01/03/19.

20i around launch with M340i & 330e middle of next year. Would expect 30d sooner rather than later

I did wonder why it came up with "Extras £1500" when I had not ticked any extras.

That reminds me of when we were looking to order a new Shogun many years ago. It was advertised at a particular on-the-road price, but when you went to order, you discover that every colour of paint was a £600 extra on top of that price.

Doesn’t look like you can have electric seats, but no sunroof. If you select electric seats, it forces you to take the premium package.

Not everyone wants a fucking sunroof

There has been a lot of scaling back of 'Single' options due to WLTP. Most options are now bundled in to packs

Yesterday I went thru the BMW UK config. 330i MSport showed a price of £31K. After selecting only the colour (standard/free) it showed an OTR figure of £41K, including extras £1.5K. They seem to have fixed it today as it now shows that OTR figure.
Still in beta form.

It will be interesting how the market reacts to that, easier to tick a few option packs but will people have the money.

It may also have an interesting effect on the 2nd hand market. If most cars just have option packs, perhaps these packs will be partially reflected in 2nd hand valuations. Therefore PCP prices slightly lower than they would be against options that are worthless at resale time.

Given most cares are purchased on monthly value these days, may not have such a big impact as it might first appear. BMW will be the winner though, as options are a good profit generator.

For my current F30 I was able to order the extras that I wanted, but it seems (at least for now) we are going far more down the packs-only route for many more options, where you'll have to like it or lump it if the bits you want only come in a pack with something you don't want... That means, for me, if I do not want the privacy glass, then I cannot have a number of other options, either... Including the m sport diff and adaptive suspension..

Sounds daft, but the tinted glass is an absolute deal breaker for me... Loathsome stuff...

Also, there is a dreadful choice of colours right now... No Glacier Silver, for instance... Compare that to the range of colours available on the c-class, for instance...

... and I cannot really say I like any of the wheel options...

For me, I am loving the car as a whole, but am less enamoured when it comes to the detail in the specs... I guess I shall be keeping an eye on the configurator to see if things change...

Yes... I saw that... and it's going to be a bit tough if something you want is bundled with something you detest...

True. Fortunately Comfort Access is no longer a liability as they have worked out how to secure it.

If BMW were half-decent, they would offer new keys to owners of existing cars with this new 'switch off' mode
