On street parking London...

The amount of damage my 3 series suffers parking on street in London is insane, particularly outside my house! Over the years i been sprayed, dented, scratched etc etc...this week i have took 2 incidents alone, nothing major i concede but it is so annoying all the same, in all the years only once has someone 'owned up', when a nice young lady knocked on the door with the worrying line of 'do you own that red car' ( ...
Having been an owner of decent cars for 34 years, i feel this problem seems to have got worse and worse over the years, no respect / poor driving skills, also i think if i put a cover on it the car will attract more vandalism, i considered this for about a second once...
Im not asking for suggestions, because unless I sit in it all day and night i don't see how there can be a solution other than suck it up or buy a scrapper lol

May I suggest a Centurion tank?
Having lived in New York City I wouldn't own a nice car there if I had to park it on the street.

Off street parking? I know not everybody has but if you can it might be worth digging up your front garden.

Yep, same here. I lived in Manhattan for over 10 years. Brought home my brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee and there was a hole in the bumper the next day. I've since moved but would NEVER buy a new or even newish used car if I had to park on the street again.

I can't wait to gtfo of this city... plan is in two years to move to PA

My company gives us a certain amount each month for parking. I use that for a parking garage to keep my car in. Luckily nothing extra out of my pocket. I don't mind keeping my studio and staying here for 3/4 days a week and spend the rest of the week in PA (most likely Philly)
