BimmerPost Ranking System?

im confused. ive searched and seen some ranking systems, but they've all been wrong. i just had post 350 and i'm still a first lieutenant, despite it saying that i should be a lieutenant. mods, any insight on this? and if you could, sticky it? i can guarantee that most (if not all members) wonder when they will be what rank, what ranks there are, etc.

I never really even gave a shite about the ranking system. I just go by the numbers.

Just change the saying under your name and you won't have to worry about it.

the system has been changed several times, so whatever a search turns up might not be accurate. if you click on the members list you can scroll down and figure out what post counts equate to what ranks. be advised though that if somebody hasn't logged in since before the changes were made, they will still have their old rank. pretty sure CPT is at 500, but i'm not sure. just check the members list and that should help you.

Because of the massive post-whoring that occurs

, they've been constantly upping the numbers to be proportional to what it used to be (that's what it seems at least). Hence, when I joined back in 06, with the number of posts I had, I should have been higher than Captain.

Just change it to whatever it is you want it to be.

Personally...I do not even pay attention to that anymore. Many people post a bunch of useless info, and rank goes up.

# of posts is definitely not equal to quality of posts....actually, it is probably indirectly proportional.

Join date should be taken into consideration. Some people have been active for 1 month and have 600+ posts?? Check out my rank it is the highest possible, I can’t be fired or ever voted out.

okay this is crazy because i just posted and now the ranks have the real pictures like skierman requested and the numbers have been lowered again. Did admins change something again?
