Wheel Bearing Caps
So I managed to get my wheel centre caps off with duct tape with the purpose of checking for the dreaded rust!!
Thankfully there is no rust and all 4 hub bolt areas are fully greased which is good news but I want to fit the wheel bearing caps as a precaution. With the centre caps off can I fit these through the gap or is it a wheels off job?[IMG][/IMG] |

Not sure how effective they will be or what they would add. There is no way of dirt to get in as is. If anything I would say they would prevent the moisture escaping. Surely just greasing it regularly will do the job?

I don't think you will able to get these on without removing the wheels first. It's quite difficult to remove the centre caps without damaging them. I would take the wheels off then push them out from the inside. I greased my hubs with some ceramic grease hopefully this will stop the rust getting any worse and prevent the hubs seizing. |
