Anyone gone from F31 to 540?

Plan A. Buy my F31 340 at the end of the PCP in May 2019. A bit stuffed with going for a new 3 series estate because they are not out until way after my PCP is up.
Plan B. X3 M340, but discounts are looking low and waiting list long.
Plan C. Saw a 540 estate on the road today and it looked really good, lots about with a few miles in the 40-44k range, or will a new one work out cheaper?
Anyone spent time in a 540 that can offer an informed opinion on the car?

I had a 540i recently for the day.

Compared to the 340i or 3 series, in general, it was a beautiful drive. The comfort/refinement was night and day, loved the seats. I took it on some A roads and overtaking was a breeze with no worries with the x-drive, it felt like I was driving something smaller.

I noticed driving the 540i every sod moves over on the motorway when they see you coming especially when it's a white estate version.

The only negativity I have was how silent it was. My 340i stock wasn't this silent, this was due to the new petrol particle filter.

All round it's a fantastic car, for me a little too big for what I need. Ring up a dealership and see if you can get one for a few hours.

I’m the same F31 340i going back in April G21 M340i not out for ages. A years old M3CP seems to me to be the only sensible option I have lol.

I got as far as a quote last quarter for a 540 wagon, without options it was 4k down then £480/month over a 4y term which I decided was okay. Soz can't remember the exact discount and APR. At the time a 340 shadow was the same deposit and £421/month
