Does anyone conceal carry?
I am licensed to carry and thinking about installing magnets under the dash. Has anyone done this? A little worried about securing with screws and hitting something that I shouldn’t. Or, can anyone suggest a better place?

The left, dash "glove box" will hold a .380 ACP nicely. When not in the PRK, I carry where ever my AZ permit is good. On our last trip I carried everywhere except IL. I wore an Alien Gear IWB with my 3" XDS sub-compact 9mm. Even driving it was quite comfortable. I also used a Remora IWB holster our last driving day as I needed to disarm prior to reentering the PRK and I could just stick the whole rig in the trunk.

I also have a permit and carry. As above i carry the Springfield XDS 3" .
When driving driving for extended I don't like wearing it so the box to the left fits it fine. In questionable areas i have a sleeve for it that makes it fit between the seat and center console to make it quickly handy. Never really felt like mounting it anywhere. |

I've seen plenty of cars use the magnet which works well. My friend has one in his Camaro. I've thought of putting a sleeve between drivers seat and center console but it's a little too exposed for my comfort. And the little cubbie is kind small for like a Glock 19

Also with your tinting they have to look super hard to see it. Otherwise mine is in the cubbie or the small of my back. |

I carry everyday. Drivers Glove box fits my FN FNS 40C perfectly. I dont like magnets for gun retention because it will cause some magnetization over time. I dont want any metal shavings scuffing my gun as I put it back in my holster. ( Happened to my 1911, I work in a machine shop.)

Thanks all. Never really thought about the left side dash glove box. I have a Walther PPS M2. I’ll check to see if it fits and will probably carry there. For those that do, do you fit into a holster first?

I use a uncle mike inside the belt holster that I keep my gun in while in left glove box.

Same! Cheap and Effective. I leave mine in the holster when I put in in the side box. Its safer to pull a holstered gun and put it in your pants than an unholstered one and try to reholster in a public parking lot. People get nervous when they see an unholstered weapon.

I use a Remora outside my seatbelt between the seat and console and keep my EMP there when I'm driving. Goes back in the holster when leaving.

Al Gore?? Didn't he leave politics after the presidential election 19 years ago!! Not sure his connection or that of the 2nd Amendment to this forum. All this time, I thought it focused on BMWs.

ezaircon4jc, I'm in the peoples republic of Kalifornia too. I just happen to live in a conservative county that supports the 2A. My county issues about 2000 permits a year.
