No, you can't refuse to have it repaired. That decision as to whether the work is done, or the car written off, is purely one for your insurance company.

Oooocha - that is a lot of damage. Someone was quite deliberate.
I know where you are coming from, but as above, no, you cant force a write off. |

Oh, well then... I'll just prolly be stuck with a car i don't want now. It was deliberate. A kid approached me saying he knows who did it, and he'll tell me for 50£. Won't even touch that. Tools the police about him, but I'm guessing nothing is going to be done. I have CCTV cameras, but i had just moved to that house and had to leave the country and didn't have time to set it up. Literally none. Finished moving at 13:20 and was in the airport at 15:00. Anyway, fun times
Edit: the only reason i had a write off in mind was because when i called the insurance company the person on the phone said that if the roof is damaged usually they will not try to repair that as it's structural. Now, the insurance company also asked for an independent to have a look at the car. The car is at a BMW garage. |

OP as mentioned, you have pretty much zero chance of having it written off. As you have it on PCP, you need to make sure there are no visible marks, dents etc after the repair. I would also consider writing to finance company (BMWFS) and explain the issue and possible issues with BCA inspection when handing car back at end of PCP, provide photos of the damage. |

That is significant damage, just hope that it gets written off, i wouldn't want a violated car either, just doesn't feel the same however good the repair is. Assume you have gap?

Blimey loads of damage nice area you’ve moved to, I’d be more concerned about that than having the repaired car back!

Christ someone went to town on that, sad to see Not just your average theft, looks a bit personal. As others have said, I doubt it would be written off but you never know.
I would expect for you the car wont be the same ever again even when repaired.

I'd be seriously concerned about my area if I were you. That looks very personal and deliberate. You don't just trash someones car for no reason?
I mean once its repaired you could surely just end the PCP or upgrade to another car if you're looking down the M car route already? |

Some sad people running around causing such damage to peoples possessions could they be jealous. I would certainly be concerned parking another car there once the repairs if completed. The roof looks significantly damaged and that is a difficult repair what also would concern me is that it would go on the insurance list as a significant repair which could affect resale. Best of luck with the repair I think they may just write it off.

Alex. Unless there is something you're not telling us. An M2 would be a red rag to a bull.

What a cold hearted degenerate you have to be to do something like that to someone elses property. Sorry to hear about that man I feel for you.

Gutted for you. That is some serious damage, especially if they were just stealing your dash cam. Stinks of someone pissed at you or just a knob head wanker.

That definitely looks personally targeted, rather than a random act of vandalism by someone walking past .. are you sure you haven't had a run in with anyone local to you recently?
Nethertheless, this is what the culprit deserves .. |
