Best Resume Website

I'm stuck with my resume. I want it 110% perfect. Every website I've tried tells me nearly completely different suggestions. Some contradicting each other. IYO, what's the best resume builder website?

There is no specific format for a resume really. As long as it looks like a resume, is classy and has all the info it's fine.

It all depends on the Job you are targetting. If you want a good resume then you need to search for a resume writer on your local phone book . They charge any where from $200 to $1000 depending on how much work they have to do.

Shop it around to everyone you know, for pointers.

Google the job title, with the word 'resume'.

Search Google Images (or just Google) for the word 'resume' for layout suggestions. Lots of templates available online.

Hit up local libraries for books on resume writing (or buy one and waste money, 'cause it may not be helpful).

Read all you can about resume writing - become the expert.

there is no perfect resume. for every job you apply to you have to modify your resume to reflect your cover letter; that's what hiring managers in the government have told me as feedback.

+2. Check spelling and grammar. Target your resume to the job description. Learn everything there is to know about the company.

i think the "content" of a resume is more important than the format of it. of course, a resume still has to look like a resume, but that's not too hard. you can find a ton online. the real "juice" is inside the resume.. the story you are telling them.

If you want a professional resume, leave out the pretty graphics and alignments and all that junk. Your resume should be entirely readable in plain text as it is in any other format. In fact, I typically only use a simple RTF formatted resume for online submissions.

The most important thing is to be simple. People don't care how pretty you can make your resume, they just want a clean and easy to read resume that conveys the information needed and nothing more.

Never use templates and if you think your resume is clear and good, use it.

so long as it is clear, displays all the relevant information to the job, then yah

I personally hate it when resumes include "voted best girl scout in 93"
oh yah.. that's gonna be your selling point..

also, the interview plays a stronger role than the CV in my opinion.
I've hired people who look bad on paper but turned out to be key parts of my staff

2007 - Current
will be the right way to go , as long as you are still employed at the place.

Don't worry about it. Just write down "Free Blowjobs" and you're all set.
