Exhaust leak symptoms

What are the symptoms of an exhaust leak? Will there be issues with the turbos spooling? Loss of power? Could there be any negative effects on the turbos? Making an appointment to get it looked at, but wanted some more info before going in. I have UR catted DPs with UR exhaust and just ordered the AR Design gaskets in case that was the issue.

It will be loud...

Or if very minor it will whistle.

Easier if you explained your symptoms as its much easier to rule it out then explain all the possible symptoms.

Not that loud... I got a whistle for a little bit, but I wasn't even on the gas. The car doesn't repond as well when I hit the gas, and at one point, it felt like there was massive power loss. I attempted a pull in second gear and saw that boost was still building, but I could hear something unusual coming from the bottom of the car. Boost wasn't coming on normally either. Not sure if all these symptoms are a result of a leaking exhaust... If only one pipe is leaking and the other is working fine, does the differing backpressure confuse the ECU?

I'll check again when I get home, but I'm definitely leaning towards the exhaust...
