Hey guys, I don't speak very much Dutch but I'm starting to take lessons.

I'm in Den Haag and have M2c arriving soon. Any insight into Dutch law regarding aftermarket exhaust? I.e. can you do any type of upgrades or are all aftermarket exhausts now illegal? Dank je for any info

You can do whatever you like for the first few years and your annual technical check, but it is smart to keep the valve closed while driving through town. It will mean you won't be pulled over so much.

Thanks much for the response!

I'm considering an AA mid-pipe and some other type of rear can. I'm assuming I'd need to reinstall back to full stock before the first annual inspection?

Also, any EU manufacturers making a single mid-pipe similar to AA? I had one on the F80 and it made a world of difference (for the positive)

I think only AA makes a joint pipe. Eismann makes an X pipe but its not the same.

Im in the hague as well, I am interested in hearing the AA midpipe if you do install it!

The issue is there are only two importers close to us (one in BE and one in UK) and they want an arm or leg in upcharge. Supposedly you have to code ECU for no OFP...which also gives me pause.

With that said I had a single mid pipe exhaust on my F80 and it sounded soooo much better

Think you are right on the OPF and MR. can give a lot more info on that as he was one of the 1st to investigate it.

I would combine OPF removal with a tune which should be an additional charge of 0 lol.

If you want to meet up PM me your number. Half my friends have an S55 car lol and we all like to drive em hard.

Hi,

Just moved to the Netherlands, Amsterdam, with my M2C, got some noob questions:

* For the regular maintenance going to the dealer is the best option, given the car is stock, right?
* Where people usually buy OEM parts, e.g. if I want some m performance grill or wheel? Should I install those at the dealer or there are better options?
* If I want to install some aftermarket parts such as suspension or catback, what's the best place to do that?

Thanks
