Helix Attache now 29.2 and V81 compatible!

We just finished up the revisions and tuning for the 29.2 and V81 cars and will be tuning and dynoing a 135i possibly this week. we will keep everyone informed on this as it affects a large number of you. as far as the tune goes smoooooth and powerful Pre 29.2 users can also use this tune and we will be working towards updating ALL current attache owners. I have this running on my car right now and I like it, I like it ALOT.

That's so weird, I was wondering where you guys were this morning. Is it still pin-out or is PnP a possibility?

Great news! I'd love to see a PnP option!

Nice! I need IC. Do you have any ICs left? I think you are also the only tuner that offers IC optimized tune so far.

I think you will capture the hearts of many folks that don't have the technical knowledge to do the pinout comfortably.

Funny you say that as in this revision we have taken ait based boost control and fueling to a whole new level

So to get passed 29.2 and v81 did you have to get direct control of the solenoids? (no more electronic bypass)

we can do that sure but the way we are tuning the boost there really is no need, the DME does not know the attache is there. direct control means the factory loses a failsafe (ie the many cases of overboost(16-20psi spikes and sustained) that others have faced.

Interesting. I thought that in order to get passed the hurdles of 29.2 and v81 you would need to have direct solenoid control.

Well, glad to hear all is going good. Please keep me updated....

well manipulating the map sensor needs to be done regardless of direct or indirect control so tuning needs to be accomplished the same either way. as I said we can easily directly control the solenoids its only 3 more wires to connect, we are happy with the boost curve and power delivery and the fact that no failsafe has been nullified.

So are you saying any tune that controls boost solenoids directly takes aways one of the factory failsafes?
