Is this a possibility...

There is a dent on the top of my coupe hood in a very awkward place... right on the ridge line drivers side (its EXTREMELY subtle, only noticeable when looking straight on...you can see the light bounce of it)

Im just curious to know if that could be caused by an irregularity in the paint at all...because there is no impact mark what so ever ON the car...not even a smudge.

...its a brand new car, im even wondering if its something i missed when i was on the car lot looking at the thing to begin with. I figured i would just put this post down, regardless of how petty it may sound in hopes that maybe someone else has seen something similar on their ride.

regardless, i was just curious to know.

Can you post a pic so we can see the damage?

it's not impossible to have dents without any signs of an impact.

One simple example: whack a tennis ball really hard against a car --> dent without any signs of an impact.

So can coconuts. But I don't think they grow in Canada unless it's gotten a lot warmer there than I remember.

LoL!

I dont live in an area with a lot of kids...so i dont think it was anything random. we have had hail a few times, went out to look at the damage and never saw anything. like i said, it was pretty subtle. i figured i would just throw it out there and maybe someone would have had something similar.

oh well, looks like it might be hail.... bummer. guess it couldnt be too much to have that lil sucked popped out again. its so mild, i might just leave it be until i can find a real good shop to work it out.

never had really large hail tho, thats the puzzling part.

thanks guys.
