Comparing 3GT vs F10: Which has better driving dynamics?
Interested in having both sporty flat handling and some ride compliance in a size bigger than an F30.
2014 F34 335i Gran Turismo xdrive with the adaptive suspension and VSS (DHP) ($22k) vs 2012 F10 535i xdrive with adaptive suspension + active roll bars (DHP) ($19k) Both are just over 190 inches, GT is 4000 lbs and F10 is 4200 lbs Both have dynamic dampers but the F10 has active roll My thought is that the active roll might give the edge to the F10 even though the GT is lighter. F10 has nicer interior, GT has more practicality. Active roll seems like such cool tech it seems like it might have sportier handling than the GT.. can't decide Last edited by danperson1; 11-25-2018 at 11:21 PM.. |

No direct experience of handling comparisons. I definitely rate the active roll control in the F10/F11. To me (Dynamic Drive) is the option which makes the chassis more nimble and agile than the passive options. Active dampers on their own, don't give the same body control as active damping and roll control. |
