Question HELP! "Engine Malfunction, reduced power"

Please help! Last night I was driving about 45 and punched my car and when the RPM got close to redline and the engine light came on and said "Engine Malfunction...Reduced Power" I shut the car off and back on and it was gone. Today again it happened to me.
I did do some searching on the site and found a few posts discussing this but haven't really gotten a straight answer.
I do have an EXEDE piggy back, my only change from stock.
Any ideas on what this is?
Thanks!

you've gone into a Limp mode, i.e. CEL

most likely something faulty with the tune...contact the vendor and see what they say

or what ^^ he said? not sure

Your probably overboosting with the hotter temps. Or maybe it's a loose connection.

I have the Xede w/ R7 map for about 7 months now and never had a problem with codes.........Until I got my RR catless DPs installed, then it's codes galore.........I got both the 'service engine soon' light and the 'Engine malfunction, reduced power' warning on my I-Drive and at the same time, the 'Half Engine' light came on.

We installed and uninstalled the O2 SIM I bought from RR, but it made no difference.....

How long have you had the Xede?

That happened to me when I installed my BOV, It was not securely fit and then i got the error. I went back home and wala, oil was leaking. Got it tightly fixed in no time.
