Black grilles???
HI everyone, so I will be new to this forum I'm getting a 3.0si in Titanium Silver, and I'm wondering if I should paint the grilles black or buy them (Where?) my Jet Black E90 looks great with the black grilles but I'm not so convinced on a light colored car. I've seen pics of white with black and does look good to me, I guess I just need that extra push from the crowd.
What do you guys think?

tale them from me, it will be a lot easier to buy them black than paint thme. I painted mine black and it came out looking great BUT!!!! still gotta touch em up every now and again cause of rock chips. So id say save yourself the headache and just buy them. You can nab them at the dealer or online on say ebay or other spots. P.S The black grills look sick!!! makes it look more agressive!

I see that BMW makes ones in graphite, are these all black? Anyone has pictures?
I searched at bavarian auto whatever but only saw the perimeter of the grilles, not the full pieces. Any recommendations?

Thats only the inners if you want the outer chrome ring to be black you have to paint that. So far the options are.
Inner Fins: Spray paint, vinyl tape, 2.5i / Z4M Outer Chrome Ring: Spray Paint, vinyl tape, BavAuto Overlays (Not that great of reviews) I've found the fins are more susceptible to chipping, the chrome ring not so much. So a good option would be black fins with painted chrome ring. |

Bavauto plastic overlays...preferred over all the rock chips ya get with painting the outer ring.

Thanks guys, I think I might try to just paint them so hey are of an even color and just put several layers of paint. I really can't wait to get it, I'm like a week away from getting the car!

This paint (I know I did this as well) is the wrong paint. It needs to have either a flex additive or be coated with a polyurethane. The standard paint will chip no matter what. I also went with Bavauto overlays. Cost wise it was the better choice.
