What are people paying?

Haven't poked around at local dealers, so am curious how this goes.

MSRP for now? A small premium? A small discount? Large?

Put a down payment on one. Got a $2000 competitor rebate. So prob similar to the loyalty rebate. Otherwise MSRP for now. No mark up. Probably will go up or down in a few weeks/months depending on demand.

I am in the final stages of negotiating a deal on the M850i (and will post details later today after the papers are signed).

I've been told by two dealers that the $2,000 loyalty credit is available only if you finance the deal through BMW Finance. The good news is that there is no prepayment penalty after the first six months and, best as I can tell, only a $75 fee if you prepay the loan during those first six months. (I've also been told that the dealership will lose some or all of its financing commission from BMW if you do prepay the balance during the first six months.)

Also available is a $500 credit if you belong to USAA (even if you don't actually do business with USAA). This generally applies to military, ex-military (I'm an Army veteran) and dependents, though there may be exceptions.

Awesome! Keep us posted. Doubt it will change much from MSRP but anything's possible!

Well, let me say first that I am certain that this is an anomaly. And it's one that I cannot fully account for, and I greatly doubt that it will be repeated anywhere, maybe even here in North Florida.

We just signed the papers on an M850i, Alpine over Night Blue/Black Merino, with Driving Assistance Plus/Active Driving Assistant Pro (no longer available on the configurator), Comfort Seating, the M Carbon Roof and the (to me) redundant and not really necessary Anthracite Alcantara Headliner. It has 30 miles on it, about six of which were put on by me.MSRP, including destination charge: $119,145.

The deal:

- $4,170 off MSRP sticker (3.5 percent)
- $2,000 loyalty credit, tied to accepting BMW financing
- $500 USAA credit (I'm an Army veteran)

Actual cost of car: $112,475, plus tax, tag, "dealers fee," etc.

That was further reduced by a fair-market trade allowance on my 440i (I had done the research). I also got them to tint the windows.

The dealer is Capital Eurocars in Tallahassee. The salesman is Jeremy Christoph.

I'm an OK negotiator, but I'm not THAT good. After the papers were signed, I asked why they were so eager to deal on a one-of-its kind car (in this region) that they may not see again for some time.

They simply said that they work hard to make a deal, especially with a repeat customer such as me. (This is the fourth BMW we've bought here in about seven years.)

I have to think that something else is going on, but I'll be danged if I can figure out what it might be.

After waiting for tinting and final prep, we pick up The Beast on Thursday.

Wow! Congrats! 3.5% off? That's pretty damn good for a brand new flag ship car! Your loyalty to BMW prob did play a role in the discount. I won't be getting that nor a Veteran discount. Prob won't get anything because I'm in NYC. Lol. Post pics on Thursday!!

Dravit grey with build code: DSNDZT4K

I was able to negotiate $3k off the MSRP of $118k by using the broker out of NY I always use. I was also able to negotiate another $3k and about $1500 by joining the BMWcc which offers a rebate of around $1500 after paying $134... Well worth it... The only issue/advantage is that I order the exact car I wanted and it will be here in 6-8 weeks in lieu of having the car immediately...

Ive noticed that a lot of dealers have the 8 series in white and they aren't moving at all... If you're willing to compromise you can find a deal... people aren't pulling the trigger on the 8 series for a number of reasons:

-no functional back seats
-its a heavy car (2 tons) and the M8 coming out within 6-8 months
-BMW aficionados are waiting to see the X7 and check their options

I'm willing to roll the dice on a fun car after having 3 fully loaded 7 series and sick of being the chauffeur... UBER is here and its unnecessary unless you have kids or a need for such a large car...

You have to be a BMWCCA member for at least a year prior to the purchase for them to pay out.

Hi. I didn't see this model as one of the eligible rebate models.

Are you sure?
