X6 5.0i - Black 21" Wheels

Today, I was at my local BMW dealer and saw the new X6 xDrive 50i. The manager told me that they've just received 4 cars and they were all pre-sold. There was one Black X6 being prepared for delivery, and it had new 21" style 275 wheels installed. The car looked very nice and sharp on those wheels.

I couldn't take the car for a test ride because they were all sold and ready for delivery. So I got into the car just to check out the engine. When I turned the ignition on, you can hear the throaty exhaust, which is loud when you hit the gas, in a good way, and has a nicely toned roar at idle. I know the sound of M5/M6, but honestly, I think X6 sounded louder.

I took a few pics of the car...enjoy

^^^^^^^ no Idea.
But at this Piont, I think You can get the OEM 275 from BMW ONLY.
otherwise, you must get Replica's Online somewhere.

Great Pics. In kuwait is where I test drove the X5 35d back in May. damn awesome.

I ordered the X6 50i !!

Thanks for the pictures!

I like the look of the style 275 way better than the style 128 for the 21" rims.
I have to check with my SC to see about availability and cost.

I ordered my 50i in sapphire black with the tinted windows and shadow line. I really don't like the chrome accents (around the windows).

In regards to the sound, the fact that you probably tried this indoors most likely has an impact on how LOUD you perceived this engine to be!

Maybe that has to do with it, but even the sales person agreed with me that it sounds louder than any other BMW, even the M cars. When I say loud, I don't mean it in a bad way...it's just the tone is higher than others. When you get your car, I'm sure you'll agree ...

Not bad, in Saudi that's the price of the V6. The V8 is running $112,000 here.

That's little pricy...I'm sure here won't be more $100,000. That's what I've been told from my dealer...

For the 3.5i, it's selling around $83,000.

I was planing on booking one for September production as a 2009 model, but when I learned that the new iDrive system won't be available until March 2009 production, it made me hesitate. I was thinking 6 months after, the car will be equiped with the new system, which i think is far superior to the current one in terms of features and functions. In addition, there might be an M package by that time, which I'm sure will look sweet on X6. So I'm wondering whether to wait or buy....what do you think guys?

I'm thinking that if they do come out with the new iDrive AND an M type version of the X6, I go and trade mine in and buy the new one... Maybe around June next year...

Be prepared to bring your wallet! When I was at the dealer today speaking to finance manager he told me that the residual factor for the 50i is only 46% where as the 35i was either 50 or 51%. I can't remember because I have ordered 50i

When you are talking about residual value of the 50i, are you referring to leasing the 50i ?

I had read a review somewhere and the reviewer mentioned something along those lines too... If I remember correctly, he put it like this:

When you start the engine in your new X6 xDrive50i, your neighbors will definitely know that this is no ordinary SUV or Family car

The silver one in your pictures has the wheels on it I have ordered for mine, they are 20" star design in the UK, nice pictures, can't really see much diference in the size of the two sets of wheels though from the pictures.

Yes. I am referring to the residual for leasing vehicle. I was going to lease until I found out that the one pay lease option was $59980 for 3yrs with 12k miles so I am going to buy and pay cash because that is much better option since the money factor is .0038 and residual is only 46%. That blows but obviously BMW doesn't want to be stuck with a lot of gas guzzling SUVs when gas prices are $6/gallon

I bought mine. I don't like leasing cars or anything else for that matter. I don't buy it (or finance anything) unless I can afford to buy it outright...
