Hail Damage
Does anyone have any expertise with hail damage?
I got caught in the bad hail this afternoon and my shinny new M2C is now covered in dents will see what insurance says but can't say I am looking forward to whatever dodgy repair they will do. Most of the damage is on the boot, roof and bonnet with a handful of big obvious dents and dozens of smaller dimples that you can see from the right angels. |

Insist the stock bonnet and boot get replaced with new factory bmw parts, then just pay the shop to use the carbon fibre ones. You’ll just pay the difference. Paint and installation should already be covered.
When my truck got hit with hail they replaced hood, roof skin and quarter panels, and pulled dents on the doors and pillars only. But mine may have been worse than yours as it was around 1200 dents. |

bwhouse mate I feel your pain. Personally I would push PDR repair vs respray in the first instance depending on the damage. Some of these guys do amazing work.
I used Dr Dent years ago who is located in Menai. I would get a few assessments of different pdr repairs to gauge where you are at from a repair perspective, cost and to see what is achievable

Sorry to hear that!
One of my work Rangers had this happen about a year ago and they used paintless dent removal to roof, bonnet etc. I am picky and put lights against the duco when finished, it really amazed me how good the result was, nothing visible whatsoever. Dark grey colour, not a shadow line even. I would put money on it they will do that, hopefully you will get as good a result! Good luck! |

Sorry to hear about the hail damage on your new M2C, Sydney weather has being very unpredictable lately..
As for dent repairs I would not go anywhere except Jim at Dent Clinic, he very experienced and does an amazing job. He also does hail damaged cars through insurance if you insist on picking him as your repairer. |
