Where to find iPhone playlists in iDrive

I'm probably the last one to figure this out, but I was getting frustrated that the only apparent way to get to my iPhone playlists was to use CarPlay, which I don't like. It turns out that if you go to Media, scroll to the iPhone, and select Search, you'll get additional options for Playlists and Apple Music.

Now, if I could figure out how to keep it recognizing my old iPhone I keep plugged into the USB without having to always plug and unplug it, I'd be happy.

Anyway, hope this helps someone else looking.

Didn't know about that! I'll check it out shortly.

Thank you!

So that's where you find playlists, nice find. I switched to using CarPlay for the cleaner audio signal, and Google Maps support, but I really struggled without having access to my playlists. I may check it out again, but would rather not use Bluetooth for audio.

Yeah, if I didn't have the second, older iPhone to use as a jukebox of sorts, I'm not sure I'd go this route either. But, with that iPhone plugged into the USB port, it's the best of both worlds, as far as I'm concerned. Still too many steps to get to the playlists, but better than nothing. Only other issue right now is that I have to keep unplugging and plugging back in the phone every time I start the car. It's all too buggy.

I looked at that submenu and moved on without an initial resolution. I went back today and boom! the search line opens all that we were trying to find.

Thanks for keeping at this.

Seriously? That's the only way I've accessed them since day one. It's not necessarily intuitive, but it works.

This is so good to finally find! It also lets you browse the Apple Music playlists.
