335is Transmission Overheat After bog shift delete on mhd
So i was driving the car after it was warm and after 2 to 3 pulls it says transmission ovetheat put car in park till cool. And it went away after 20 secs. Is this because of the shift bog delete? Tq limit 2048 or smthn like that. I have a 7 speed dct
I did the shift bog so it backfires at red line. Help please |

Why the F would you use a option that you know is meant for manual cars with a DCT? Yeah I'd guess that might have something to do with. Take a look at what a new clutch pack with install costs. That backfire's not nearly as cool now.

Just remove the tune and see if you still have issues. That's the first thing I would do. Have you not done any troubleshooting yet? |

Sounds like it's removing the torque reduction request during a shift". I didn't know the manuals trans had that. Ya, if you try this with a DCT and a high torque motor, you'll probably kill it. Could get lucky and everything will be fin after removing the feature. Just a few thousand less miles left on your clutches. The whole torque management logic during a auto or DCT shift is a delicate balance of power transfer, timing and kinetic energy get it wrong and this well go wrong. |

No worry bois, i didn't blow up the clutch pack, it was the tune that bugged out. Ig i didn't wait 30 secs after i was too happy to try it out, I'm still running the tq lim delete and the car is fbo w stage 2+ and no problems at all.

You can run it on DCT, changes the character of the car a touch, bounces off the limiter with it on and makes the shifts a bit more enjoyable.

Not that expensive used/ nothing happend still running the car to this day w same option and mhd stage 2+ you should hear the redline while drifting in snow. Wake up neighbors within a half mile radius. Till the cops asked me wtf i was doing ofc
