Laser jammer install on a G05?
Has anyone done an install or know of anyone who installed laser jammers like ALPs in a G05?
I ask this because of threads in which I have participated like the following: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1558897 https://www.rdforum.org/index.php?threads/82550/ https://www.rdforum.org/index.php?threads/82582/ Here is a photo of what is going on even in a small city like OKC which is not always reported on Waze or EL:

Are jammers legal where you live? I think that's question 1 before we can really give you an answer.

That is not a major concern as I could start in receiving mode and go from there.

Fair enough, I'm sure you could find a shop to do the work without much of a hassle.

This isn't the place to worry about others decisions and what grey area of the law they may or may not fall into. The guy comes for advisement, provide helpful input, or move along. You always provide very detailed and useful information to the forum, but this response just struck me for some reason. Keep doing what you've been, it's welcome and valued!! Sorry for the side-step pseudo-rant above OP - you should be able to find just about any good mobile electronics installer to do the install for you. With any laser shifter heads mounted on the leading edge of the vehicle I don't think the gesture control in-cabin will give you problems, but adaptive cruise and TJA very may well. Once you find an installer who will do a laser jamer job for you, obviously make sure they have experience with install and setup of the system you choose. Setup is critical to performance with laser jammers. Through this process you should be searching other forums to see how those with new autonomous driving tech are getting along with jammers/shifters hard mounted. Maybe the Tesla forums is a good starting point, and also be certain to invest some sizeable chunks of time over at rdforum dot org. Once you've gotten that far, I would suggest working with your installer in lock step - can we do a temporary 1 head install on the front for me to drive with (all wiring loose, etc... not a polished job) to be sure you are happy with the level of interference, or none at all, that your specific vehicle brings to the equation. Good luck, I know my ALP jammers have paid for themselves close to double digit times, if not more (3+ years on an F80 M3). Please be sure to let us know what your research and trials result in.

The police know when they're receiving LIDAR shifting, so personally I wouldn't bother in a state where it is unlawful to use it. Yes you can disable shifting, just don't forget!
Also, I ran into a warranty issue with my wife's previous car then the display was acting up. They basically told me that it voided the warranty on that item since it had been drilled for the warning LED. Bear in mind this was not a car with a digital driver's display.
