For the rear seats? The car has a USB A and USB C up front and two USB-c in the rear.

Apple's iPad Pro 3 uses USB-C cables so now I have double use for those expensive cables.

The center console is USB-C? I have a regular USB to lightning cable connecting my iPhone X

My center console is USB C only. The upside to the expensive cables is you get fast charging on iPhone as well as Android devices.

My front and console ports are both USB-C.

I use a BMW plug in the power port which gives me two regular USB ports.

I plan on ordering some adapters for existing cables. Some pretty cheap ones on amazon. Just bought a whole bunch of Apple and Samsung cables.

Adapter with cable - https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-...dp/B01GGKYYT0/

Adapter without cable - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNQ9FD9/

Many more on Amazon depending on your preferences and devices.

Cheaper USB-C to Lightning cables could arrive as early as February 2019

It’s been a long wait for Apple to give its blessing to third-party USB-C to Lightning cables. At the moment, if you want to get a cable that allows your iPhone to fast charge, then you’ll have to opt for Apple’s own model, which currently starts at $19.

1m Apple Lightning to USB-C cable on Amazon

Don’t expect the music playback to work properly when plugged in this way, because, at present, it will not. You will repeatedly get put on repeat and also will be unable to navigate using the steering wheel or iDrive controls. It does the same by Bluetooth, though.

The ONLY way to fast charge your iPhones, you'll need to use the Apple USB-C to lightning cable.

Hopefully the USB-C ports in the G05 support 20V, 5A USB-C PD (power delivery) specification or fast charging for any device is all a moot point.

BIf you don't care about fast charging and have USB to lightning cables laying around, get a USB-C adapter.

Wouldn’t you only need 2-4 inches from the headrest to the iPad holder? Where are you going to put all the excess cord without it looking like a mess?

It says in the specs they are 3A ports, so standard USB-C, PD is not supported.

Found the USB specs in the technical guides.

2.3.3. USB
Different USB interfaces are provided in the G05 depending on the vehicle equipment.
USB interfaces:
• Type A in the center console.
• Type C in the center armrest.
• Type C charging only 2 x in the backrests.
• Type C 2 x in the Rear Seat Entertainment control panel (from 11/18).
A charge current of max. 1.5 A is available via the USB port in the center console.
A charge current of max. 3 A is available via the USB port in the center armrest and via all the other USB ports in the rear passenger compartment.

Here's the infotainment tech guide:
