questions regarding bmw connect

Picked up car today and the so-called genius wasn't very helpful. The dealer said he sent in the ess and i created a profile on the car but am not really sure the specific process and how to tell if its connected. Can someone give me the steps for setting it up. I have the app on my phone and it sees the car but its location is still in oxnard on the 27th.

If your vehicle still appears to be in Oxnard, there is an issue. Call a BMW Genius and they can walk through and make sure all settings are correct on your side and theirs: 844-443-6487
