M-Sport Seats
Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble dialing in the seats? I just can’t find a position that feels right. And the bolster on the right side hits my thigh in a weird spot and becomes very uncomfortable in a very short time. Maybe there is a break-in period??

I've noticed the same thing. Just can't seem to find the right position. I drove about 500 miles over 3 days last week and out of the blue started having sciatic pain in my right hip. I've had this one other time over 20 years ago after an injury, never since that time. Funny thing is the whole time I was driving last week, my right leg and hip area was where I couldn't seem to find the sweet spot.

May have to do with the fact that they are the Sport seats, which are definitely less comfortable than the comfort seats. Were you able to compare both before ordering?

I believe there is no special sport seats with the G05 M package. So it's the standard "sports" seats vs the Multi-Contour seats.
I find the G05 sport seat doesn't go down far enough but otherwise I do like the firmness of the seat and it has really good lumbar support. I do wish the length of the bottom cushion was longer. The manual thigh extender helps a bit. I did a 6 hour drive the other day and surprisingly had no back pain after. I believe the seats might break in a bit as they have in most of my BMW. But if I can't get comfortable in a seat, it's a deal breaker and I find I usually cut my losses and trade it in after a few months. |
