Dealer decided to drill holes for front plate prior to me picking up!!

Anyone have any recommendations on what should I do since I don't want a front plate and can't deal with the holes??

I tell me my dealers no stickers, no holes, no ads placed on my vehicle or I will not agree to buy. In this case I would demand a new front bumper, 'nuff said.

Yea I live in New Jersey and it's required so that's why it was done.

I am so sorry. I am in PA and many vehicles are dealer traded from NY or other states that have front plates. I warned my dealer not to have any front holes and this time I don’t. In the past the best solution is a company called Bumperplugs. They custom paint the plugs to fit perfectly. I had them on my last Summit and they look oem.

I live in TX and it's required here too but I told my CA do not touch the bumper with anything plate related or I won't buy it.

Yea most that require front plates use double face tape or other not intrusive solutions.

Typically the front was a europlate filler plate that you could have the dealer order another if you didn’t want holes. Audi was like this.

I’ve had this happen... I’ll say this, my BMW dealer has not F’ed this up.. But, I had an Acura dealer do this years ago and it sucked. I bought tiny plastic black plugs that made it look less bad (Amazon),

I’ve since learned to email my dealer 4-5 times during delivery and remind him/her about the “no front plate”

Same here! I did a Performance Center Delivery in September and I e-mailed them not once, but twice, weeks ahead of my pick up date, warning them that if there were holes drilled or a front plate bracket installed, I'd refuse delivery on the spot.

I live in Ohio where a front plate is required, but I've never run one in my life. And never will.

So what is the solution for the front License plate? My dealer has not done anything yet to the front bumper. But once he receives the plates, I have to figure out a process of making it look seamless without any drilling.

Companies like cravenspeed make tow hook plates. The 19 x5 has a different size towhook hole so these companies are having to redesign. Will have something out soon.

Those tow hook mounted license plate things look horrible with the way they are offset to the side. If I had to have a front plate, I would just install the plate where it's designed to be.

+1. I'd rather have holes in my bumper with an OEM mount than to have crooked off set tow hook mounted one any day .

Now if I lived in a state that didn't require them, no way would I mount anything on the front!

But I will laugh at a beautiful car rolling down the street with a crooked ghetto looking license plate because you refused to drill 4 little holes for a state that requires one
