From others' postings in this forum, I believe 2018.50 is the latest (I have 2018.49).

Interesting. When I try to update it says it's the latest and when I put the VIN in to the website it says it's invalid VIN. Maybe it's still too new after the purchase?

Yeah mine says its the "latest" too even though I know others have .50 - the running theory is that not every revision applies to every car - e.g. .50 might have fixes only for features that I don't have, therefore not applicable.

Which website are you referring to that rejected your VIN?

I think I am also running 23 and no way updating until the big firmware update hits this month. I have weather apps, remote navigation sending, and news app. My profile loads every time and my key card works great. I am staying put. The occasional 30 second iDrive reset clears any funky operation. Pick your battles with the what you “need” at this point with updates. The only odd thing happens from time to time that the voice command can’t access my onboard media collection to play a particular artist or song it will do everything else. A quick reset clears up the block and I can then request a particular artist in my 10g library downloaded into the iDrive media collection.

This, multiple threads on software versions and they all hint to a larger OTA update later this month. In the meantime, it's the bugs you know and love.

I have been a beta tester for new iOS and android devices. I like tech toys and you must have a attitude of relax and let software work itself out in time. Stay flexible as nothing is permanent. If you expect everything to work flawlessly at the first drive, you are going to be frustrated and disappointed with any top tier product these days.

The absolute number may actually vary it seems based on the features installed on your car, lumpydog and I received our cars days apart and he received .23 and I received .49 as the versions of the software, both cars where updated at dealer I believe so it seems there may be different version numbers that are latest and not all cars should be .50 necessarily.

Yep. Same error. Must be the VINs being so new. The VIN from my older X5 works.
