Faux front fender vent

I'm disappointed to see a non-functional vent added to a car. It just feels cheap.

I can't say it looks any better without it, but surely there was another idea on the table.

Design is one reason. There is functioning vents in the M bumper. At least the exhaust outlets are real. Thats is a major integrity dealbreaker for me.

Are they actual exhaust tips or just a stylised opening in the bumper?

They're stylized metal openings.
