Upgrading CCC to CIC; Everything I might need

My car is equipped with CCC, Bluetooth, Navigation and iDrive center console. The CCC is inefficient and I want to upgrade to CIC.

I'm curious what made you decide on upgrading to CIC rather than the Avin, which looks and functions like the newer NBT, such as this:

Avin 8.8" Android 8.1 Media Navigation System

I am genuinely curious and having a tough time trying to figure out the pros and cons or limits of each of them. It seems the CIC will cost more and be more technical to install. I assume you did your research, so this is why I'm asking you.
