Anyone else hoping for X1 M35i

I really like the X1 vs the X2 but I really liked the performance of the X2 M35i that I test drove.

Here is hoping BMW reads this and bring me what I want!!!

Can't see the car coping with the power tbh, it's a bit wobbly around the corners / quick direction changes. My 25D with 230ish BHP is plenty for the car imho.

That & the FWD bias wouldn't make it a fun thing.

X2 M351 is basically the same, and it copes pretty well — with M-Sport suspension, obviously. But I suspect BMW wants the X2 to be "the sporty one" 😢

I think the USand some of the APAC have over 225 BHP whereas the UK and EU cars have just189 BHP. Frankly I find the UK version quite sporty enough if needed - I am often overtaking where other cars don’t have the power in the 40 to 60 mph range.

True, UK/EU/APAC there are a lot of slower cars on the road. Not so in the US, specially the area I am at. 225hp is barely the entry point for most cars.

It's a personal preference thing and I would prefer a lot more power in the X1. FWIW I also test drove the "standard X2" with 225hp and felt the same. Not fast enough.

You can get more power for the X1 from an ECU Flash. ~300 Hp to the crank with 93 octane pump fuel. More than JB4 and definitely more than Dinansport.
