How do you suck out all the differential oil when changing?

I just replaced my differential oil with Redline 75w-90 and kind of struggled with sucking out the old fluid with a transfer pump. I felt like I wasn't getting all the old oil out and I question how quickly my new fluid will be contaminated.

What's the right way to do this fluid change? I thought about taking off the diff cover but it seems like the top bolts are not very accessible.

Also...does anyone know the torque specs on the fill plug for the differential? I couldn't find that anywhere.

This is for the 228i, not sure if it is different for other motors but let's discuss them all.

Check Bav Auto. They sell a fluid removal tool.
