Style 193 X Drive Fitment
Hi there.
Looking to buy a set of Style 193s for my X Drive E91. Unfortunately, being a Californian and all, the sets I have found for sale are all staggered from RWD cars- apparently a no-go for the transfer case on the X Drive. Because I am thinking of buying two sets of wheels and making a square setup, my question is- what is better to use- 18x8 or 18x8.5? I plan on lowering the car eventually and I don't want to have to resort to rolling fenders. Thanks. |

You can run staggered setups just fine, just choose front/rear tire sizes that maintain no more than 1% difference in overall diameter. The width doesn't matter, as long as it fits the wheel and your fenders.

Any idea what sizes those may be? I was just looking up specs for 18x9 ARC8s on an E91 and they recommend 255/35 tires. I assume that isn't possible on a narrower set of wheels.

The stock sized tires that come on the RWD 335i with 193M wheels will work fine.
225/40/18 front 255/35/18 back ...but, I'm no XDrive expert. I know the rears on RWD and XDrive are the same, fronts might differ some. |

Any stock e9x tire size(s) will work for xi as well.
225/40 and 255/35 would be most common for the 193m

I'm putting style 193s in OEM tire sizes on my pre-lci e91. Did you do a test fit yet? Any photos?

I had the same idea. I went with 18x8" squared. If you go with 18x8.5" I'll have two extras in few weeks. PM me for details! It might save you a few bucks on buying two whole sets.
