Milltek exhaust - full system

Milltek UK have now released a full system for S55 M2C.

http://millteksport.com/exhaust.prod...variantid=1616

No pics though unfortunately.

Decat DPs
and/or
OPF replacement mid pipe
or
OPF replacement with 200cell CATS (in place of OPF)

Plus various mid & rear silencer (OPF back) combos.

Going Decat DPs and then putting CATs in place of OPF was something I was considering doing using a non EU mid pipe section, but Milltek have done it.

1. Decat DPs give best power increase, awesome sound, fast spool etc.
2. Removing OPFs removes big restriction
3. Adding secondary CATs means the car will still pass UK annual emissions test.

Pity you can't fit Milltek mid pipes with OE rear silencer.

Anyway, like it or not, its good to see more options appearing on the market

I'll try to find some prices.

That's twin 70mm though. Is that not big enough?

Same cross section as a single 100mm pipe (4")

AA single pipe systems are 3.5" I recall and they say that is way big enough.

Ah, there weren't any pictures so I assumed its a single pipe. With twin piping, should be good but single pipe vs twin pipe is a whole 'nother discussion. Interested to see pics and sound clips!

DB,

1.7k to 2.3k GBP's according to CLP link below, depending on which one of the assorted options...

Yeah i found their decat DPs and opf delete with 200CELL cats for £1560

https://partwerx.com/product_attribu...ber/ssxbm1093/

So £3200 - £3700 for a full nose to tail system with new mid CATs the lot..

Not too bad. I'm sure you could get more discount.

ML Performance in the UK quoted me £1767.11 delivered for cat back with resonated mid and black tips.

Forget the DPs go for the VRSF M3/4 ones or even MTC (VRSF copies and a lot cheaper)

BM3 for removing OPF & CAT warnings

well that's my plan anyway so just over 2K for turbo back system

Similar thoughts here Josh.

But i think milltek M2C kit is OPF back not cat back? You need OPF bypass section (extra) to run from DPs to mid silencer.

Or did ML include that in their price?

I'm thinking VSRF dps, milltek opf bypass with 200cell cats for MOT. Then milltek opf back with EC mid silencer (not race) and black tips.

VSRF already list their M3/M4 DPs as M2C also.

£1767 is probably M'tek EC compliant valved back box.

M'tek midpipe either straight thru unresonated or resonated and or 200cpi cat OPF replacement another 1000-1400 gbp

Decat DP's 500-800 depending on brands

Hence turbo back system (as per DB post above) price range low to high 3k GBP's depending on options.

Midpipe back ie standard DPs - mid 2k to high 3k.

CA automotive are offering LW OPF back valved system for £2.5 - see M3cutters thread in the link below

Yes i just had a quote of 1386 for milltek opf delete mid pipe with 200cell cats.

EDIT supplier error!

1386 is for OPF delete with 200cell mid cats plus decat DPs. Not so bad imo.

870 without DPs, so milltek DPs are 500 only, same as vsrf.

316 for straight OPF delete.

All in £

As the S55 always had secondary CATs in the mid section (same as N54) then an S55 "CAT back" has always been from secondary cats back ie not from the downpipes like N55.

Now on EU S55 the OPF replaces secondary CATs then a CAT back is now OPF back. Does that make sense?

This OPF back includes "mid silencer" just in front of rear subframe, and pipes forward from mid silencer (which some may call mid pipes) but only up to the back of the OPF.

just confirmed that with ML performance... everything i had read on the Miltek had led me to believe it was cat not OPF back. just waiting on a price for the 200 cell mid pipe and i'll go with the MTC VRSF clone DPs

What's this Active Valve Control Unit Basic/Advanced they are selling? Is it essentially a button to open/close valves manually and the advanced version works with your phone?
If so, anyone got pics of it?

After reading all the replies I'm also still confused if the OPF back will fit a non-OPF car. Anyone able to shed some light on this? Milltek weren't able to confirm if it would or wouldn't fit, or if the OPF delete pipe is required..

SSXBM1087 - The OPF Back Exhaust

SSXBM1091 - The OPF "Replacement" Midpipe

These two together would give you the downpipe/catback exhaust.

Hopefully that helps.

This is for sure the most confusing vehicle for exhaust setups. I'd still be interested to see what different brand exhaust pieces will in fact fit together.

OPF is just in place of secondary CATS.

Rear silencer and mid silencer are the same. Downpipe flange is in the same place, all bends and hangers are the same.

Any OPF delete pipe is the same as a secondary CAT delete pipe and vice versa.

So to put milltek on a non OPF car, either have OPF back and connect after secondary CATS, or buy OPF delete pipe too and delete your secondary CATS if you like.

Thanks guys, that helps. Surprised Milltek weren't able to answer me.

Doughboy, did you end up getting the race or 'soon to be' EC approved version?
