What is your opinion on Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA)

It looks like in Europe they want to speed the introduction of the Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA). In Belgium there are some lawmakers that want to ensure that cars sold as of 2022 are equipped with ISA:

The system can be compared with the ‘speed limit’ function but on steroids. Just like with the speed limit you can floor the pedal to overrule the speed limit and after a couple of seconds there will be an audible signal comparable to the seat belt reminder.

The cars are becoming more and more powerful but in a couple of years it will become more interesting to take the bike.

I'd rather they focus on the root issue - human behaviour. The more safety mechanisms that are overlaid instead of addressing it, the lazier we get, the more we subconsciously depend on technology and the less we trust our own actions.

And yeah, driving will be so mundane soon.
