Spare tire

Hi
Anyone ordered this? Does it fit in The underfloor or is there a bump to make it fit. Have not seen any X7 with one.

I'm curious as well. Because of the 3rd row, the Millenium Falcon underfloor compartment is much smaller.

i haven't seen this yet either but for a 150 charge, it must fit with no other modifications. and as is, it's flat.

i'm guessing it's just like the g05 x5: there's space for the spare in the vehicle with no bump, whether you order the spare from the factory or not.

The X3 it has an ugly raised floor.

I saw one yesterday. It was just as flat as without spare, but zero space left under there with spare. In fact, I lifted it up intending check out the spacious "hold" only to find it completely filled with plastic panels, etc. Salesman said, "it's full - no space in there". I replied, it must have a spare, he said, "nope". I flipped the wing nut tabs to open and dig deeper, and there was the spare afterall, but I don't think you can tell until you open the door in the floor.

Much thanks for that. Was the larger cargo cover still able to fit under there too?

Mine seems to have fit fine. I have non run flats with tire underneath. All fits including cargo cover.

yes, there was a second cargo cover sitting just under the hatch. Just like on the spare - less model.

How did you fit the second cargo cover under the hatch? I have the one with the retractable screen stored - but trying to figure out what to do with the one that came covering the area behind the third row....

I assumed wildblue was talking about the cargo curtain thing. I only looked at them at a dealer lot and recall both X7s having a cargo curtain in the back (in use) as well as another under the spare door. I don't know which is which or even why there are 2.

To be clear I did not see both stored under the door at the same time in either configuration.

Thanks. Was curious on why two as well. The one that came with the vehicle is the curtain (not the fixed one).

I picked up mine yesterday and have the spare. It does not disrupt anything. It sits unobtrusively under the floor.

Yes! Love it so far. Really drives well...4.0 engine seems plenty powerful and peppy. Technology / buttons took some time to figure out.

Yes. There are two cargo covers on the X7. One is a hard cover that folds in half, that covers behind the 3rd row seats when they are raised. Think legacy SUV rigid cargo cover panels. You can pop it out if you want, but I haven't seen if it can fit under the floor.

The second cargo cover is a retractable roller flap, to be installed behind the 2nd row seats when the 3rd row is stowed down. It covers the entire trunk. The X7 that I saw, it was installed underfloor, just like the G05. Because of the 3rd row, the Millenium Falcon underfloor compartment on the X7 is much smaller.

Follow up to this, the X7 Owner's Manual says you can in fact store BOTH cargo covers in the underfloor storage.
